Mr Anthony Brian Crofford

Anthony Brian Crofford Flowood, MS Anthony Brian Crofford arrived at the feet of Jesus on the morning of March 10, 2020. he was born on January 9, 1970 in Marks, MS to Sue and A B Crofford. He worked in the oil field industry and dearly loved his job. Unfortunately, he died still loving his job and all the crew members he made as great friends during the last 5 years. Anthony was preceded in death by his grandparents, Margie and Benton Bryan and Leo and Marie Crofford; his father and mother-in-law, Roger and Shirley Waldrop; brothers-in-law, Bubba Waldrop and Jeff Waldrop; sisters-in-law, Lisa Parker and Nan Holifield. Survivors include: his wife, Paula Waldrop Crofford of Flowood; son, Hunter Crofford and daughter, Julianna Crofford, both of Carthage; step-children, Fallon Sandifer, Dillon Boleware, and Jessica Mullins, all of Rankin County; his mother, Sue Bryan Nester (Art) of DeKalb; his father, A B Crofford (Lynda) of Bartlett, TN; his sister, Amy Walker (Shawn) and Lynson Robbins (Nitia); a brother-in-law, Jody Waldrop; grandchildren; Brennon Sandifer, Peyton Mullins, and Caleb Mullins; numerous nieces and nephews. Anthony was a loving husband, father, son, and grandfather who served and loved his family. Anthony was a great care giver to his mother and father-in-law as they were in their last years. His generous and charismatic personality never met a stranger. As Anthony worked in numerous areas in the United States in the oil field and railroad, he met and made numerous friends he considered family. Anthony shared a love of hunting, fishing, and music. He supported all his children's activities, from sports, rodeos, and pageants. He enjoyed every opportunity to cheer them on. May he rest in peace and may God comfort all that loved him. Visitation is 10:00 am to 1:00 pm Saturday, March 21, 2020 at Wilcox Funeral Home in Carthage. Services will follow at 1:00 pm in the Wilcox Chapel with Rev. George Sciple officiating. Interment will be in Springfield Cemetery near Madden, MS. Pallbearers are: J. W. Harrell, Dale Gomillion, Gary McKee, Niles Bryan, Jody Waldrop, Corey Sandifer, Randy Mullins, and Dillon Boleware. Honorary pallbearers are: Steve Bain, Jimmy Harrell, and Nicholas Anderson.
