Caffie Ann Gilbert Chambers Brandon, MS Caffie Ann Chambers, age 69, passed away Tuesday April 6th, 2021 at St. Dominic's Hospital after a hard fought battle with cancer. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, sister, aunt and friend. Caffie was an active member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church where she loved her Sunday school friends and participated in various ladies' groups and missions. She was a retired bookkeeper for Thrash Commercial Contractors. Caffie's passion was her flowers. She loved flowers, succulents and cacti of all kinds, but her favorite was a true blue bloom. She enjoyed sitting in her garden drinking a cup of coffee and eating a piece of homemade dessert. Caffie was an excellent seamstress and made many of her own clothing. She was a very talented craftswoman in crochet and embroidery. Caffie could also play beautiful music with her beloved piano and was a pianist at McDonald Union Church for many years. Although the cancer and arthritis may have hindered her from enjoying many of her talents, it never stopped Caffie from her biggest joys which were loving her family and worshiping with her church family. A celebration of life was held Friday, April 9th, 2021 at McDonald Union Church with Rev. Warren Coile officiating. Caffie was laid to rest at McDonald Cemetery in Lena, MS. She is preceded in death by her beloved father Edison Gilbert and mother Vivian Gilbert.
