James Waymon Ellis Carthage, MS James Waymon Ellis, 61, a farmer, died Thursday, October 14, 2021 in Carthage. Visitation is 5 pm to 8 pm Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Wilcox Funeral Home. Services are 2 pm Sunday, October 17 at the Wilcox Chapel. Burial is in the Freeny Cemetery. Wilcox Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Mr. Ellis, a native of Leake County, was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. Survivors include: his wife, Tina Ellis of Carthage; son, Chad Ellis of Carthage; daughter, April Madden of Sebastopol; sisters, Glenda Renfroe of Lena and Tracy Williams of Carthage; 2 grandchildren. Pallbearers are: Deric Madden, Stan Ellis, Bradley Griffith, Joe Vaughn, Jeff Harrell, Teddy Engel, Tracy Fitzhugh, and Eric Madden.
