Lucille "Granny" Swinney Carthage, MS Lucille "Granny" Swinney, 83, a retired cashier and cook at Renfroe Store, died Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. Visitation is 11:00 am to 2:00 pm Thursday, August 20, 2020 at Wilcox Funeral Home. Services are 2:00 pm Thursday, August 20, 2020 at the Wilcox Chapel with Bro. Don Cook and Bro. Chris Vowell officiating. Burial will follow in the Renfroe Cemetery. Wilcox Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Swinney, a native of Leake County, is survived by 3 sons, Bobby Swinney of Carthage, Billy Swinney of Carthage, and Bo Swinney of Brandon; a daughter, Betty Waggoner of Carthage; 1 brother, Jerry Newsom of Florence, AL; 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are: Bob Swinney, Ben Swinney, Dan Waggoner, Chris Waggoner, Timmy Roach, and Chris Ferguson. Honorary pallbearers are: Holly Hannis, Tina Ingram, and Karlie Luper.
