June 1, 1951 - May 4, 2021

Paul Gary Wooten Carthage, MS Paul Gary Wooten, 69, a retired motor-man for Baywater Drilling, died Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at Baptist Medical Center-Leake Hospital. Visitation is 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Midway Baptist Church. Services are 11:00 am Friday, May 7, 2021 at the church with Rev. Mike Skinner and Rev. Marshall Lum officiating. Burial is in Midway Cemetery. Wilcox Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Wooten was a native of Leake County and a member of Midway Baptist Church. Survivors include: his wife, Dawn Pickel Wooten of Carthage; son, Michael Wooten of Carthage, MS and Jonathan Wooten of Carthage, TN; daughters, Diana Wooten of Carthage, Lauren Dennis of Union, and Anna Wooten of McCarley, MS; brothers, William Wooten, Arnold Wooten, and Herman Wooten, all of Carthage, and Roy Wooten of Irving, TX; sisters, Christine Tennyson of Carthage and Carolyn Eudy of Ackerman; 10 grandchildren, Lane Wooten of Starkville, Kayla Hallman of Lucedale, J. T. Wooten of Carthage, Brayden Wooten of Carthage, Codi Hancock of Philadelphia, Ainsleigh Dennis of Union, Charleigh Ann Wallace of Union, Cameron Wallace of Union, Payton Harlos of Kosciusko, and Olivia Wooten of Carthage, TN; 2 great-grandchildren, Piper Denmark of Lucedale and Jace Hallman of Lucedale. Pallbearers were: Eddie Wooten, Glen Wooten, Tommy Killingsworth, Kenny James, Jason Wooten, Marshall Wooten, Mark Wooten, and Randy Wooten. Honorary pallbearers were: Don Wooten, Brian Wooten, Brad Wooten, Farley Eudy, Chris Wooten, Robert Wooten, Ryan Killingsworth, Wayne Killingsworth, and Steve Wooten.
