Mr James Grady Middleton

James Grady Middleton Carthage, MS James Grady Middleton, age 82, of the Sunrise Community, Carthage, MS, departed this life Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital-Attala in Kosciusko, MS. He was married on February 27, 1960 to his wife, Elois Martin Middleton. He was a member of Sunrise Baptist Church and in the past served as Sunday School Director and also Sunday School teacher. Services of Remembrance for Mr. Middleton were conducted at Sunrise Baptist Memorial Gardens, Carthage, MS on Thursday, December 10, 2020 with Bro. David Addy and Bro. Guy Odom officiating with special remarks and reflections. Interment followed in the Sunrise Baptist Church Cemetery, Carthage, MS with Wilcox Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Middleton served in the U. S. Army as a Military Policeman during the Vietnam War and was Honorably discharged. He continued to serve in the National Guard until March, 1968. He worked in the Office Supplies, Products, and Equipment industry as a Manager and a Sales Representative for 40 years. He worked for several different office supply companies. He retired from S. P. Richards Company, Atlanta, Georgia after being employed by them for 27 1/2 years. He was also Co-Owner of Carthage Printing and Office Supply for 15 years. Mr. Middleton was born October 17, 1938 in Magee, MS. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie M. Middleton and Ollie Etta Cook Middleton; two brothers, Charles Ray Middleton and Billy Jim Middleton; and one sister, Gency Irene Middleton Lott. Survivors include: his wife of 60 years, Elois Martin Middleton; two sons, Paul Michael Middleton and wife, Ashley of Cumming, Georgia and David Marcus Middleton and wife, Jessica of Carthage, MS; four grandchildren, Michael Keeston (Key) Middleton and Reed Martin Middleton of Cumming, GA, Mason Marcus Middleton and Haverson (Haver) Coy Middleton of Carthage, MS; one brother, Jack Lou Middleton and wife, Sue of Pearl, MS; and one sister, Shirley Laurine Middleton Adcock and husband, Fred of Magee, MS; and a host of other relatives and friends. Pallbearers were: Billy Brantley, Ray Charles Martin, Danny Pat Martin, Gerald Jordan, Greg Martin, and Mason Middleton.
