Mrs Susan Rudolph

Susan Deweese Rudolph 10/19/1948 – 8/24/2025 Susan Deweese Rudolph stepped into eternity on August 24, 2025, at her home in Philadelphia, MS. She was 76 years old. A memorial service for Susan will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Old Pearl Valley Baptist Church in the Arlington community of Philadelphia, MS. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m, with a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Interment immediately following. Brother Wade Chapell will be officiating. Wilcox Funeral Home will oversee arrangements. Susan was born to Wilson and Mildred Deweese on October 19, 1948. She graduated Lepanto High School in Arkansas. After moving to Philadelphia, she met and married Bobby Glynn Rudolph. Susan worked as a dental assistant for many years in Philadelphia. After retiring, she and Bobby operated Rudolph Farms. Susu, as she was affectionately called by her grandchildren, modeled the love of Christ through her love and service to family and friends. She was a member of Old Pearl Valley Baptist Church where she sang in an ensemble with her sisters in law, Judy Ed and Judy Hal Rudolph, along with others. A ten-year survivor of a traumatic brain injury resulting from a car accident, Susan loved to spend time with and cook for her family, garden, work in her flower beds, care for her beloved miniature schnauzers, and was a Smith County watermelon connoisseur. She was also absolutely convinced that she was born a princess! Survivors include her husband Bobby of 56 years; sons Jayson Rudolph, and Ben (Paige) Rudolph; grandchildren Channing (Ashley) Pope, Brack (Emily) Rudolph, Georgia Claire Rudolph, and Olivia Rudolph. She is also survived by two sisters; Jann Morris, and Rebecca (Ricky) Smith; great-grandchildren Kase, Camden, and Riley. Susan is preceded in death by her parents Wilson and Mildred Deweese, a brother Ralph Deweese, and an infant daughter, Cynthia Annette Rudolph. Serving as pallbearers will be Channing Pope, Brack Rudolph, Greydon Hickman, Walt Rudolph, Charles Harrison, and Ryan Fulton. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to OPV Cemetery Fund, Leake County Fellowship of Christian Athletes, or St. Judes Children’s Hospital.
